Website visits
When you open this website, the web host and content delivery or security provider process technical request information such as your IP address, browser details, requested page and time of access. This is used to deliver the page and protect the service. The website does not currently contain an account form, advertising pixels or an analytics script.
The website uses hosting, delivery and security providers. Those providers may retain technical request records under their own service policies.
Position capture in the app
Automatic Asset Location reading is disabled by default. If you choose to enable it, the selected part of your screen is processed locally with Windows offline text recognition. The captured image is not sent to our website or squad service by this feature. You can also copy coordinates manually from the in-game Tab panel.
Map settings and the optional movement trail are handled on your device. The app does not read game memory or inspect network packets.
Private squads
Squads are optional. If you create or join one, the app uses an anonymous account and a hosted real-time database service. The service stores an anonymous account identifier, squad membership, position coordinates with timestamps, and any shared destination pin. Other members of your squad can see the latest position you share and the shared pin; these are not a public map feed.
Leaving a squad requests removal of your position and membership. Removing a squad as its owner requests removal of the group. Anonymous authentication records and service-level logs may remain after those actions; the app does not promise automatic deletion of all such records. The service provider may process technical information such as IP address and user agent to provide and secure the service.
Updates and changes
When the app checks for updates, it contacts the TheIsleMinimap update service. That request can expose ordinary network metadata to the service and its delivery providers. This page will be updated if the product's data practices materially change.
